POSITION OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for performing warehousing activities, inventory control, and recordkeeping.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor / Assistant are :

Check in all daily incoming shipments for all vendors.

Put away all incoming stock in the appropriate bin location and ensure that all parts put into stock are properly labeled with a barcode bin label.

Check in all incoming inter-branch shipments from all branches.

Update incoming stock and incoming inter-branch shipment packing slips in computer and generate appropriate picking lists and reports as needed.

Pull all customer orders as indicated on the picking list and place in either will call, package for shipment, or dispatch for delivery.

Maintain all parts in will call by insuring that all parts pulled are placed in the appropriate will call bin and all paperwork associated with the order is placed with the parts.

Maintain all junk core inventory.

Dispatch parts drivers to addresses indicated on the sales invoice or purchase order.

Process and maintain all returns by properly pulling all parts being returned from stock.

Notify inventory control to file freight claims for any shortages or damaged parts received.

Participate in annual inventory.

Perform tasks on slow time list.

Log, store, and ship warranty parts.

SKILL, TRAINING AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES

The Warehouse Supervisor / Assistant

requires

a number of basic skills, including :

Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.

Must be self-motivated and have good written and verbal communication skills.

Must conduct oneself in a professional manner.

Must be able to understand, communicate, and evaluate all vendor and International warranty guidelines.

Must have a valid drivers license.

preferred

but not required for the Warehouse Supervisor / Assistant, are :

Experience with Microsoft programs and applications currently in use at this location.

Good organizational skills.

Willingness to pursue self-development courses applicable to the job.

Working knowledge of International and supplier / vendor warranty policies.
