Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Steel mill in West Tennessee needs a Melt Shop Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Responsible for maintenance of mechanical equipment used in steel mills, especially with Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF), Ladle Metallurgy Furnace (LMF) and casting equipment. Will develop and improve maintenance processes that affect production, safety, and product types.Will work with process engineers on projects throughout the facility.Generate work orders for maintenance employees.Will work on installation and commissioning of retrofits or new machines.Will apply corrective and preventive maintenance plans.Prepare daily, weekly, monthly maintenance and trouble reports.Estimate maintenance costs, evaluate maintenance choices, purchase spare parts, and follow up with suppliers.
