Network Engineer

Description:The Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and support efforts of the client's network. This includes campus, datacenter, and cloud networks. The Network Engineer will support efforts in the entire network stack – from WAN, firewalls, routing, switching, and hosts. This role is specific to the migration of all production endpoints from leased address space to public IP address space which belongs to the client.Responsibilities: Supporting existing firewall infrastructure. Supporting existing route/switch infrastructure. Supporting existing wireless infrastructure. Support and implement client (B2B) tunnels including working directly with clients. Assist in the design and support of network related components including IP address schemes, DNS, security, AD, Group Policy, etc. Identify infrastructure and security issues and develop plans to fix or report to the relevant teams. Interpret and enforce security policies and procedures. Participate in security compliance efforts (HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.) Evaluate and recommend new and emerging network products and technologies Participate in incident handling Support existing AAA infrastructure. Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives and timelines Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors, to provide technical assistance and support Troubleshoot malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services. Perform any other duties as assigned by managementSkills:Firewall, routers and switches, wireless, f5 load balancer, DNS, AD, Group Policy, Active Directory, Cisco, Nexus, Juniper, Aerohive, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, network security, Splunk, Aruba, Cloud, IPSEC, NAT, LogInsightTop Skills Details:Skills & Qualifications: Strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required 4+ years of route/switch experience, preferably with Cisco (Nexus, Catalyst) or Juniper (EX-Series) devices. 4+ years of wireless experience, Aerohive experience a plus. 4+ years of Firewall management experience, specifically with Cisco ASAs and Palo Alto devices. Strong NAT and IPSEC experience. Two-year associates or higher degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar discipline preferred Experience with log monitoring and analysis, using tools such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, or LogInsight Ability to write and/or modify simple scripts, using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience Requirements (nice to have): Experience with Aruba Clearpass Experience with F5 Load Balancers Experience working in a cross-functional team made up of other infrastructure engineers.
