CARPENTERDescription:Join a large commercial construction company that handles everything from design to build. We are involved in a variety of projects and currently have 17-20 ongoing. We self-perform a lot of the carpentry and steel work and subcontract the rest. As part of our team, you may be assigned to 1-2 main projects depending on your location and travel requirements. Although your primary responsibility will be carpentry, there may be occasions when you are asked to assist in other areas. We are currently working on 9 school projects in various locations across South Dakota.Pay :

$25-35 per hour

Responsibilities:

Interpret and follow blueprints, sketches, and building plans to meet project requirements.

Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials (such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall) to construct or repair structures and fixtures.

Install doors, windows, cabinets, molding, trim, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail.

Perform rough and finish carpentry work, including framing, decking, roofing, siding, and flooring.

Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on-site to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth project progression.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications :

Proficiency in carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.

Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.

Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.

Strong work ethic and reliability.
