Join us.Job Summary:As a 3D Generalist at Caterpillar, you will be launched forward into creating our industries highest quality visual demonstrations, marketing, and training products. This role supports marketing and eCommerce visualization initiatives across the enterprise based on demand.What You Will Do:Job duties include:3D Modeling, Texture creation, UV Mapping, and Rendering.Education Requirement:2-year degree technical degreeWhat Skills You Will Have:Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Follows first time right and fundamental error process Follows standard procedures and asks questions Understands the importance of processes in place Stays on task and focusedEffective Communications: Speaks/writes using correct language, mechanics, and gestures. Notifies leadership of any issues that arise Effectively communicates with leadership requests in prompt mannerInitiative: Forward thinking to generate new ideas Requests work timely Initiates conversations with leadership and customers for clarificationProblem Solving: Critical thinking and strong reasoning skill Able to escalate to next level leadership for support Comes to the table with solutions and not just questionsTeamwork: Understands responsibilities of self and of team. Explains the importance and benefits of a cohesive work team. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Understands team dynamics3D Modeling Design: A working knowledge of Autodesk Maya or 3DS Max. A strong understanding of scene creation, modeling, creating textures, and UV mapping.Additional InformationThe location for this position is Rapid City, SD.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
