Job DescriptionOracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure (OHAI), dedicated to product strategy and development for improvement of healthcare using modern cloud native technology build on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).One of the focus areas of OHAI is to modernize, improve and reimagine Millennium healthcare platform using AI/ML, specifically generative AI.Millennium applications team in OHAI is responsible for reimagining, conceiving, and enhancing clinical applications using OCI’s cloud native AI/ML infrastructure for patients and clinicians.Why? We are seeking hands-on Senior Member of Technical Staff Engineers that share our passion and excitement of operating distributed systems at hyper scale using cloud native best practices. You will have part in the disruption of the health care industry and will help deliver better patient care. As a SMTS engineer in our team, you’ll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to build ML platform, data pipelines, search infrastructure and clinical applications. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. As a tech lead you will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production.Minimum Qualifications· BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent· 6+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems· Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices· Demonstrated ability to write code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages.· Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, DropWizard, Spring, etc. Experience with building data pipelines, messaging and, scalable streaming services preferred.· Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)· Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environment.· Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design.· Experience with deploying ML models and monitoring tools is desirable.Career Level - IC4ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
