The OpportunityWhen was the last time you made a difference in someone's life?It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing.What’s on offerHours and shifts in Hackham  areaEmployee benefits program + salary packaging up to $18,550 tax free each yearAccelerated learning programs to gain your professional qualifications (Cert 3)Paid CPR and First Aid courses.What we’re looking for We welcome applicants at all experience levels ($41.08 p/hr):New to Aged Care – Full training and support provided.Experienced – Confident delivering day‑to‑day home care tasks.Advanced/Qualified – Relevant qualifications and strong capability will attract a higher hourly rate.In addition, you will need:A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicleCertificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support (dependant)The roleIn the role of Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:General housekeeping and making bedsCleaning, mopping and vacuuming floorsWashing, folding and ironing laundryMeal preparation and grocery shopping.You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the dayAssisting clients to take their medicationsAssisting with mobility and therapy goalsProviding complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia Providing social and emotional supportProviding the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointmentsHelping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.Why choose SilverchainEveryone at Silverchain, from our care teams to leadership, plays a vital role in delivering Best Care.
