The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.Line of Business:Analytics, Insights, & Artificial IntelligenceJob Description:Department Overview:The Platform Delivery Team is responsible for coordinating and/or testing changes or enhancements to the components of the MLE Platform (Model Lifecycle Environment), a Linux based platform running SAS Analytics software. They promote framework and model changes, as well as support both pre-cycle and in-cycle processes across model execution and model development and help support SAS, On-Prem servers/processes, and Azure infrastructure. The Platform Delivery Team helps facilitate appropriate access to Azure, manages appropriate groups and roles in Active Directory and SAS metadata, and monitors platform storage. This team partners with the Information Technology (IT) team to ensure the MLE Platform operates efficiently with minimal disruptions and assists in troubleshooting issues as they arise. This team also explores opportunities to expand the platform's usability through new hardware and toolsets.The Modelling/Forecasting Specialist contributes to strategic technical planning and identify opportunities to support business strategy. Expert role which provides technical leadership to others in the development of a broad range of complex models that support business needs.Depth & Scope:
Acts as a subject matter expert integrating cross function understanding within their own field of specialty
Works autonomously and accountable for acting as a lead within a specialized analytics function and may provide work direction to others
Provides seasoned specialized knowledge, advice and/or guidance to various stakeholders and team members
Expert at utilizing data sources across the organization with ability to integrate data across multiple platforms
Works effectively across multiple business units with numerous stakeholders to deliver advanced analytics solutions
Scope of role may have business segment and /or enterprise impact
Generally focuses on broad range of complex issues that may span from medium long term issues (e.g. 6-12 months)
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
7+ years relevant experience
Proficient PC skills including a strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and a variety of PC based analytical and reporting software packages.
Experience making complex and broad predictions based on a vast amount of past and/or present data through the development of statistical and/or mathematical models
Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years using Linux based systems preferred
Knowledgeable in various types of storage Lustre, Netapp NAS, NFS preferred
Experience working on/managing technical projects a plus
Knowledge of SDLC processes and best practices preferred
Experience working with cloud infrastructure is a plus
Understanding of Information Security best practices is a plus
SAS Analytics, Python, and scripting is preferred
