Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a well-established company in the Duncan area. This role will primarily involve handling Accounts Payable (AP) tasks, setting up and maintaining vendor accounts, and assisting with month-end close activities. This opportunity offers a contract to permanent employment situation, providing a platform for growth and development.Responsibilities: Manage and maintain vendor accounts efficiently. Process purchase orders and ensure their receipt. Handle invoice processing, 50-100 per week, with an emphasis on accuracy. Carry out Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments. Display strong organizational skills in managing and organizing file folders. Resolve any discrepancies that arise in the course of work. Assist with month-end close activities for AP, AR, and check registrar and purchasing. Develop an understanding of journal entries. Utilize Microsoft Excel and PDFs effectively for work-related tasks. Initiate and manage month-end reconciliations. Show readiness to adapt to new systems and processes, demonstrating initiative during downtime.Requirements Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) Familiar with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Experience with handling Purchase Orders Proven experience in Invoice Processing Knowledge of Journal Entry Understanding of Debits and Credits Ability to Manage Vendor Relationships effectively Proven ability to Resolve DiscrepanciesThis position is full-time hours, Monday - Friday. No overtime or weekend work is required.
