Electrical Technical Lead

Lead and manage a team of electrical technicians, providing technical guidance, training, and mentorship.

Oversee all aspects of electrical system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair within data centers, including power distribution systems, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, PDUs (Power Distribution Units), and emergency generators.

Plan, schedule, and supervise the installation, commissioning, and testing of new electrical equipment in data centers.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for data center electrical systems, ensuring adherence to established schedules and best practices.

Analyze electrical system performance data to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions to optimize efficiency and reliability.

Lead the response to electrical system emergencies in the data center, ensuring swift resolution with minimal disruption to operations.

Maintain a deep understanding of relevant electrical codes and data center specific standards (NFPA 70E, NFPA 704, BICSI, etc.).

Collaborate with engineers, mechanical technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems with other data center infrastructure.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for all electrical systems within assigned data centers.

Stay up to date on the latest advancements in data center electrical technologies and best practices.

Implement a strong safety culture within the team and prioritize adherence to all company safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field (preferred).

Minimum 7 years of experience working on electrical systems in a commercial or industrial setting, with at least 4 years of experience in a data center environment.

Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating a team of electrical technicians.

Demonstrated expertise in low- and medium-voltage electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS, and emergency power systems.

Strong understanding of electrical codes and data center specific standards.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Ability to lead and manage projects effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

A valid driver's license is preferred.
