Part- Time Delivery Material Handler (Charleston)

Beers Millwork is a family-owned, local supplier of custom and commodity doors, mouldings and hardware serving the greater Charleston area. Our guiding principal is dream big and stay small. Our owner enjoys being hands-on and works to provide each customer with dedicated time and attention. Service, selection and style are our calling cards and we are currently seeking a Delivery Material Handler who aligns with our vision.

We have an immediate need to fill this part-time position and request only qualified candidates apply.

This position will assist with the safe and accurate delivery of materials from the warehouse (located in Mount Pleasant) to each job site location. The role will require the unloading of orders according to customer specifications with the help of various equipment, at times a forklift may be required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Accepting warehouse deliveries and maintaining quality assurance based on provided purchase orders

Loading and unloading delivery vehicles

Assisting in maneuvering delivery vehicles

Delivering products in non-CDL required vehicles

Double-checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring they are thoroughly secured for delivery

Providing warehouse support as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to repeatedly lift products weighing 75-150 lbs. (very physical position)

Ability to stand, bend, twist and climb throughout your shift

Forklift experience preferred (we will train if necessary)

Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Must have a valid Driver’s License with a good record

Availability to work 5-6 days a week (days and times vary based on work) No Sundays

Attention to detail; strong verbal and written skills

Strong customer service and teamwork skills
