Job Description

We’re looking for an aspiring UI Designer who will be primarily focused on delivering beautiful user interface design for our expanding tech company – We have just gone Global!

You should have a background in digital design, with some knowledge of user experience design. Having the ability to lean into this when required should excite you! You are enthusiastic about working with others towards building intuitive digital products. Knowledge of what is great vs. good design as well as staying up to date with best in global design trends is essential.

Responsibilities

  • You will spend a great deal of your role designing for mobile apps, specialising in crafting UI elements. This can include web-based portals too. You should be comfortable working with front and back-end developers.
  • Working with your team to help investigate user experience design requirements for our suite of digital products.
  • Produce (when required) User Flows, Wireframes, diagrams and any other documentation to show your design thinking around the products you work on.
  • Able to understand complex situations and convert them into intuitive ideas, flows and UI.
  • Able to communicate your thinking and ideas clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be flexible and collaborative around other team members design thinking and ideas.
  • From time to time, be open to helping with presentations, pitches to clients, graphic design or other digital design tasks.

Knowledge, Skills & Aptitudes

  • 2 years working experience in digital design – of which 1 year at least being in a UI role.
  • Knowledge of UI software (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc ).
  • Knowledge of Adobe suite, PSD, InDesign, Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of prototyping software (Figma, Zeplin, InVision or similar).
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time well and respond to time constraints accordingly.
  • Be able to communicate and articulate design decisions to the team and stakeholders.
  • Team player who can also work on their own initiative.
