Project Manager – Regulated Industry

Description:12 months. Remote to start, then onsite in greater Providence, RI area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Project Management expertise in oversight of system implementation
  • Serve as a Business Analyst and liaison between agency, IT, stakeholders, and vendor resources to communicate requirements and ensure delivery and compliance
  • Provide project (phase/timeline/budget) reporting
  • Develop and maintain a strong and inclusive project plan while actively managing relevant work streams throughout each phase
  • Establish and manage a RAID log and a RASCI matrix
  • Develop and update weekly status reports, create content for weekly team meetings to highlight accomplishments, upcoming activities, and updates to RAID log and project plan
  • Take part in creation of governance team materials and present/report to governance team
  • Lead implementation phase with software vendor partners and stakeholders
  • Participate in planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing. and training activities
  • Lead post-implementation phase including coordination of resources and providing direct assistance with troubleshooting of production support issues, deployment/cutover, period close activities and system/business process optimization, identification of additional training opportunities, and content delivery mechanisms
  • Ensure risk management and lead conflict resolution
  • Ensure strategic Change Management is happening
  • Assist in establishing a ‘super user’ network of business SMEs
  • Manage budget

Skills & Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience with implementations of large software programs
  • In depth experience with SDLC in an Agile environment, quality assurance standards for system design, and configuration
  • Experience with Business process re-engineering, and Change Management methodologies, Lean Management (and or Six Sigma) preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills
  • Experience in highly regulated industries a plus
