Landscape Construction Crew Leader - Maintenance & Installation

We are a single source landscape service provider and we take pride in working closely with our customers to come up with creative approaches to their vision and solutions to their landscaping needs.

We are a growing company covering the greater Rhode Island area currently seeking dedicated, dependable Foremen/Crew Leaders to join our team. Crew Leaders are critical members of our field teams, coordinating the procurement and use of resources (including labor, equipment, and materials) to ensure completion of work within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards. Critically, they guide and mentor field staff and assist them in carrying out their duties. They also serve as the primary contact between the customer and the crew.

Work Schedule

● Typically, you’ll work Monday to Friday, up to 10-hour shifts (with overtime in the peak season), starting at 7:00 am or later depending on the season.

● We provide transportation from our shop in Johnston, RI to job sites. You’ll drive in a work truck with equipment trailer from the shop to the job sites. Bus Stop within walking distance of our office.

Responsibilities include:

● Supervise and manage landscaping construction & installation crew

● Ensure jobs are performed in accordance with industry and company standards

● Communicate plans and production goals with crew members and clients

● Ensure all safety and maintenance procedures are followed

● Track and record all expenses and crew hours worked

● Prepare job sites and see them through to completion

● Maintain a clean worksite

● Complete paperwork and information pertaining to jobs

● Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

● Interact with homeowners, property guests, clients, and the public in a friendly and polite manner

Requirements:

Current and valid Driver’s License with a good driving record

Comfortable driving dump body truck w/trailer

Experience managing landscaping projects, installation/construction projects, and/or teams (3 year minimum)

Customer service experience (3 year minimum)

Synthetic Turf installation experience a definite plus!

Must have knowledge and experience understanding and installing landscape plans and applications

Must have ability to operate standard landscaping machinery such as riding mowers, trimmers, and blowers·

Attention to detail

Ability to work independently

Availability to work variable hours which may include weekends, holidays and overtime

Ability to perform physical work in various weather conditions

Legal authorization to work in the United States

Reliable transportation to the branch or first job site

Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds & walk long distances

Not necessary but definitely a plus are: Knowledge and experience understanding and installing hardscape plans and applications, and ability to operate standard hardscaping equipment such as excavator, skid steer/bobcat, compactor, partner saw, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour for Crew Leaders

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
