In this role, you will assist with operating the press machine during the weekend shift. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for advancement.Responsibilities
Help operate the press machine
Load parts, set measurements, and start the press process
Prep finished products and place them on pallets for shipping
Track work progress on paper and stay organized
Inspect parts for quality
Drive the pull truck or 'carpet puller' if needed
Essential Skills

Machine operation

Ability to use a tape measure
Assembly experience

Previous machine operating experience

Work EnvironmentThis position is in a manufacturing environment. The weekend shift is Friday to Sunday, 12 hours from 5 AM to 5 PM. Training will take place Monday to Thursday from 5 AM to 3 PM for 4 to 6 weeks. Overtime may be scheduled , and breaks include two 10-minute breaks and one 20-minute paid lunch break where you are not allowed to leave. The facility is not completely temperature-controlled, so it can get slightly cold or hot. The dress code includes steel-toed or composite shoes, pants, and a t-shirt. Shorts are allowed as long as they are not too revealing, but no basketball shorts or spaghetti straps are permitted. Cell phones and air pods are not allowed on the floor, but you may use a speaker at a reasonable volume. The digital area is air-conditioned, but the rest of the facility is not.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PennsylvaniaPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
