Data Engineer Lead | $140k-$175k + Hybrid + Equity | Exciting High Growth AI Operational Intelligence Startup

Our client is hiring a Data Engineer Lead to help architect and scale the company’s AI native data foundation from the ground up. You will own the pipelines, warehouse architecture, data ingestion systems, and infrastructure powering AI workflows, customer analytics, and enterprise scale data processing. You will work closely with leadership, AI Engineers, and Full Stack Engineers to build scalable systems that support real time intelligence, AI workflows, and multi tenant SaaS operations.ResponsibilitiesBuild and scale production grade data pipelines and infrastructure.Design warehouse architecture, schema strategy, and data models for a multi-tenant SaaS platform.Support AI workflows, embeddings pipelines, vector databases, and retrieval systems.Build real-time and batch integrations across enterprise systems and third-party platforms.Own data quality, observability, lineage, and monitoring systems.Partner closely with Applied AI Engineers on production AI infrastructure.Support enterprise-grade security, compliance, and regulated data environments.Help define long-term data architecture and platform scalability strategy.
