Dental assistants at our Dental Practice enthusiastically support our motto by
helping patients to help in ensuring confidence in their smiles.
Job Responsibilities:
Clinical support
Provide chair-side clinical support to doctor in all dental procedures
Help doctor charting, assisting and accurately entering or updating existing
restorations and treatment plans in the practice management software
Take digital x-rays and enter into the patients chart
Complete sterilization process for instruments and disinfect operatories as
per CDC guideline. Set up and breakdown operatories.
Monitor all lab cases and ensure they are ready before patients appointments
Work as a team player with other office staff for patient needs and stay on
schedule
Greet patients and introduce yourself with name and position when bringing
patients from the waiting area
Ask patients about their chief complaints and comfort them while completing
pre-exam steps like taking x-ray, intra-oral photos and relay the chief
complaint to the doctor upon arrival for exam
Escort patients to check out counter upon the completion of the appointment
and ask for any additional concerns or questions
Additional duties may be assigned as needed
Admin/Front desk support
Keep track of all the maintenance schedules for the digital x-rays, autoclave,
compressor, and spore testing on a weekly bases
Keep track of the emergency kit and first aid supplies to ensure they are
stocked and up to date
Adhere to the OSHA regulations and our dental practice safety requirements,
including HIPPA guidelines, CPR , x-ray and CE certifications as per the PA
state regulations
Help the front desk staff on your down time and ensure that the office is neat
and clean
Values and ethics expectations
Treat every team member and patients with respect and dignity

ourselves and also our dental practice as a whole
Welcome and treat all patients and staff without judgment or prejudice
Be enthusiastic and ready to help everyone and don’t engage in unproductive
gossip and pass time
