The Urban Tap in Shadysideis hiring a prep cook/brunch line cook to join our team!

This position will work:

Monday- 11-5 prep

Thursday- 11-5 prep

Saturday- 8-3 brunch grill cook

Sunday- 8-3 brunch grill cook

a fifth line shift is available if more hours are wanted, and will be a night time closingshift!

This position must be able to read recipes and cooking instructions to prepare high quality, consistent, and delicious products. This position reports to the Prep Manager, Kitchen Manager, Assistant Kitchen Manager, and works as a liaisonin communication between the line and the prep room. Being able to clean as you go, follow proper food safety protocols, and work with a sense of urgency, are all integral to being successful at this position.

Required skills and qualifications:

2 years of experience in food preparation and cooking

Able to follow written recipes and supervisor instructions

Basic knife skills for chopping, slicing, dicing, etc.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Able to communicate clearly and effectively with others

Physical requirements:

Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)

Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds
