Our team is seeking a skilled craftsperson to join us!

We are seeking a craftsperson to assemble and finish light fixtures fabricated mainly of copper and tin sheet metal. The person will also help in other departments throughout the manufacturing facility.

Our most successful employees are mechanically inclined artists. Some type of previous relevant metalwork experience, such as custom automotive or motorcycles, gunsmithing, or a similar combination of machining and hand skills, is preferred for this position. We are willing to train individuals with drive and limited knowledge of metal fabrication.

The most successful applicants will have the following:

- Exposure to various metal finishing processes and operations dealing with sheet metal, including casting, finishing, coating, patina, and machining.

- An ability to independently set up, operate, and improve operation on standard sheet metal tools, including understanding the proper use of tooling and holdings.

- An understanding of all essential shop equipment - shear, drill press, brake, mill & lathes is a plus.

- Knowledge of the trade's materials, methods, and standard safe practices.

- Must have the ability to learn how to use bead blast equipment and powered hand tools safely.

- Must be able to lift, move or carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

- Must be able to organize work area.

Responsibilities:

- Independently manage assigned projects in the assembling process for metal light fixtures, including wiring/electrification, glass cutting/fitting, and light fabrication as needed.

- Independently manage the finishing processes for metal light fixtures, including surface prep, sandblasting, plating, polishing, galvanizing, spray coating, anodizing, painting, and drying/curing.

- Assisting in packing and shipping.

- Other duties can include and are not limited to shop maintenance, cleanup up, and assistance in other areas of the shop as needed.
