Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automobiles and possess a strong mechanical aptitude. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles to ensure their optimal performance and safety.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues or safety concerns.

Repair or replace worn or damaged components, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes.

Perform electrical system repairs, including wiring, lighting, and electronic component troubleshooting.

Conduct engine tune-ups and adjustments to ensure proper performance and fuel efficiency.

Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper functioning.

Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance activities.

Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle repairs and recommendations.

Stay updated on new automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in automotive repair is preferred.

Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in a professional automotive repair environment.

Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and computer diagnostics.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, such as scan tools, multimeters, and computerized testing devices.

Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

ASE certification or equivalent credentials preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

Philadelphia, PA 19140: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
