The Construction Laborer plays a crucial role in supporting the custom home build by maintaining cleanliness at the job site, handling tools, performing physical tasks, and providing overall assistance to the Project Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure cleanliness and presentation of the job site, including tasks like sweeping, power washing, organizing stored materials, and general maintenance.

2. Adhere to Pohlig's Safety Program Manual and comply with OSHA standards to ensure a safe working environment.

3. Operate power tools and other equipment effectively and safely.

4. Assist in material management at the job site, including unloading, loading, moving, and maintaining a well-organized storage area for materials and equipment.

5. Occasionally handle pick-ups and deliveries as required.

6. Display willingness to learn Pohlig Homes' construction processes and execute work according to these specifications.

7. Read and comprehend plans accurately, and perform tasks in accordance with the provided plans.

8. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand tools.

9. Follow the daily task list provided by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.

10. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.

11. Install appropriate protective measures to prevent damage to finished areas and surfaces.

12. Display readiness to learn through on-the-job training.

13. Collaborate effectively with the Project Team, including Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Trade Partners.

14. Complete assigned task lists thoroughly, document progress, and report it to the assignor. In cases where tasks are incomplete or present challenges, provide possible solutions and updated timelines.

15. Communicate any variations or changes directly with the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent before implementing the change or communicating with the homeowner.

16. Attend and actively participate in Quarterly Site Safety Meetings.
