Maintenance Tech - Full Time

Established, successful, real estate investment company with 280+ residential rental units and 33 years in business seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician.

This is a hands-on position where 95% of the time is spent in the field performing house and apartment service calls (Property locations include South, West, Southwest Philadelphia, Port Richmond and Temple Univ. areas). Strong knowledge and solid skills in plumbing, heating, roof repairs, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc. are required. Tools and transportation are required. The candidate for this position must be well organized, efficient, punctual, honest, trustworthy, reliable, have an excellent attendance record, and have solid communication skills and the ability to exercise good judgment. Several years experience and references are required. Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to perform ladder work, lifting functions, etc. OSHA Ten Certificate is a plus, but not required.

This position requires the use of an on-line maintenance system which assigns, updates, tracks and monitors all tenant work orders.

Interested candidates must live in close proximity to Philadelphia as emergency "nights and weekends" service calls are occasionally required. Alternating “on-call” weekends are also required.

Responsibilities also include: organizing and coordinating work schedules, communicating professionally with the home office regarding priorities and work flow, opening, closing and updating jobs on e-work orders, communicating and scheduling with tenants and sub-contractors, inventory control and materials purchasing.

Benefits include: $21-$26/hour compensation based on skills and experience, occasional over-time pay at time and a half, paid National Holidays, 2 weeks paid time off, health insurance (70% company paid). Credit, driving record check, drug test and criminal background checks will be performed prior to start of work. Start date is negotiable.
