We utilize the freshest produce, seafood, and grass fed meats from vendors around the world and locally. If you are a culinary professional that is a team player and eager to learn EXOS is looking for you. We offer a $19.00-$22.00/hr starting salary based on experience (line cook).

SUMMARY
The line cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in all areas of the kitchen in a safe, sanitary clean and organized kitchen.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by recipes.
Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and
organizational skills.
Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in
the station.
Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and
all storage areas.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef at any time.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
Culinary arts degree, 2 years fine dining restaurant experience as a line cook.
Passion for healthy cooking and working knowledge of healthy cooking.
Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
Bachelor’s or Associates degree in culinary nutrition, culinary arts or similar equivalent experience.
Strong business acumen
Experience managing and growing food service operations
Certifications/License
ServSafe Certification required
Local certification as deemed necessary by the state, city or county
Skills/Abilities
Excellent customer service a must
Professional communication skills are required.
Ability to take direction.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work catering events, some nights
Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.

Ability to speak and hear

Constant standing with some walking
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally
lift/move 50 pounds.
Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual
dexterity and fine motor skills
Working Conditions
Generally in an indoor setting.
