Position SummaryThe City of Philadelphia is seeking a full-time Coordinator to manage the daily operations of the Community Crisis Intervention Program (CCIP).The Community Crisis Intervention Program (“CCIP”) uses credible messengers to serve as Community Crisis Outreach Workers to prevent and reduce gun violence in Philadelphia. CCIP employs proactive strategies to foster meaningful relationships in Philadelphia’s most violent neighborhoods, steering those involved in violence (or at a high risk of violence) into alternative positive choices, mediating neighborhood conflicts, and responding to neighborhood crises related to violence.The coordinator will be responsible for managing CCIP-funded agencies to ensure that the program's implementation is being executed according to OSN, the Office of Safe Neighborhood’s standards. The coordinator will also ensure that all performance measures, goals, and objectives are consistently met. This position will also coordinate with other City staff, law enforcement personnel, social service providers, and community members in this program's ongoing implementation and coordination. It is important to note that the ability to be accessible during traditional and non-traditional work hours (nights and weekends) is essential to this position. The CCIP Coordinator will report to the CCIP Director.Essential FunctionsThe CCIP Coordinator will be responsible for the management, oversight, and coordination of the Community Crisis Intervention Program, including, among others, the following duties:Case management: Ensures compliance and that procedures are developed/ enforced in alignment with the standards of OSN.Outreach Coordination: Collaborate with partnering community-based organizations to implement a plan of action regarding community engagement and crisis response.Program Evaluation: Coordinates process for improving organizational performance by recommending areas or approaches for improvement initiatives or activities, performing new procedures, collecting data, etc.Budget Management: Tracks expenses and ensures resources are used effectively during invoice submission. Project Management: Monitor program progress and report on key performance indicators.Develop and facilitate relevant relationships between all participating social service agencies to support identifying available resources for crisis workers to deploy to the community.Implement and sustain community contacts within the operating districts.Proactively identify and create new partnership opportunities with individuals/networks/groups who engage in violence prevention initiatives including but not limited existing stakeholder relationships such as Philadelphia Municipal Court, Court of Common Pleas (Criminal Division), Family Court, Office of the Sheriff, Philadelphia Department of Adult Probation and Parole, Juvenile Probation, The District Attorney's Office, Philadelphia Police Department, and the Philadelphia Department of Prisons.Prepare and submit regular reports on program activities and outcomes.   Represent the City of Philadelphia in a variety of events and meetings with various internal and external stakeholders, as well as in the media.Lead hiring of credible messengers may include developing job descriptions, vetting candidates, interviewing, etc.  Lead credible messenger training(s).  Research grant opportunities to support programming.Responsible for assisting with the preparation of written documents, including, but not limited to, blog posts, fact sheets, flyers, policy briefs, news releases, etc.    Ability to prepare or supervise the preparation of reports and records, including but not limited to policies, evaluations, incident reports, presentations, etc.Maintain accurate and up-to-date program records and databases.Collect, analyze, and report data related to program outcomes.Conduct program evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement.  Other duties assigned by the CCIP Director.Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesA successful applicant should:Organized: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, estimate timelines, rework a project approach based on unforeseen challenges, work well under pressure, and set/meet reasonable deadlines.Excellent communicator: Ability to explain policies and initiatives concisely to City leaders, write and speak clearly, and cultivate effective communication among team members.Relationship-builder: Ability to work with various people and personalities, listen and ask questions to identify policy opportunities, and cultivate strong relationships to ensure seamless collaboration and continued project support.Curious: Ability to practice active listening, ask questions to get at the root of a problem, be open to receiving/giving constructive feedback, and have a sincere interest in learning new skills or growing old ones.Compassionate: The ability to generate actionable, ethical solutions, have integrity, and address people's real needs.Rigorous: Driven by thoughtful, quality, and detail-oriented processes, project output, and client/team interactions.Action-oriented: Ability to see opportunities, navigate barriers, be self-directed, and problem-solve solutions that enhance the City's deliverables, processes, and practices.Broad spectrum: Knows enough about social sciences and research processes to effectively collaborate across disciplines.Resilient: Ability to have a sense of humor, learn from mistakes, and/or return to work after experiencing a setback.Amplifier: Ability to amplify others’ strengths and successes and operate beyond ego and self-interest.
