Includes identifying potential risks and assessing the controls environment in our businesses. The position will play an important role in helping to comply with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. The key aspects of this role will entail performing risk assessments and collaboration with cross-functional teams within Corporate Accounting & Reporting and the divisions.Job DescriptionCore Responsibilities

Perform risk assessments and internal control evaluations and offer recommendations to mitigate risk and add value.

Collaborate with SOX Monitoring team to evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal control activities.

Challenge current processes across the company and identify opportunities for improvement.

Present findings to management and executive leadership.

Monitor changes in the business environment and emerging risks for financial reporting.

Consistently exercise professional and independent judgement and discretion in matters of significance.

Assist department leadership with other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

5+ years of relevant professional experience, such as public accounting, controls and compliance experience, or technical accounting

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and SEC guidance, and COSO framework

Strong project management, organizational and presentation skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to be proactive and work well within a team and independently

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
