The REDCap Administrator II serves as an application owner for the data management system, REDCap, at CHOP under the supervision of a "REDCap expert" director or manager This individual operates with some independence in development of infrastructure for CHOP's REDCap instance. The Administrator II level is experienced in REDCap capabilities and study design and is regarded as a superuser level expert and concentrates on supporting the day-to-day needs of its users. The Administrator II will generally be knowledgeable of, and provide user support in accordance with, the CHOP REDCap environment and governance as established by clinical research leadership, information systems support personnel, REDCap end users, data security, and other groups. The Administrator II will report on various metrics such as usage, support needs, governance, and general health of the evolving program. The Administrator II will provide support to end users, develop and offer trainings, oversee upgrades, communicate new features, and assist with adapting study designs for REDCap usage within studies.What you will do

Serves as an application owner for the data management system, REDCap, at CHOP, under the supervision of a "REDCap expert" director or manager.

Is knowledgeable of, and provides user support in accordance with, the CHOP REDCap environment and governance as established by clinical research leadership, information systems support personnel, REDCap end users, data security, and other groups. Serves as the primary interface to REDCap for these stakeholders.

Reports on various metrics such as usage, support needs, governance, and general health of the evolving program.

Provides support to end users, develops and offers trainings, oversees upgrades, communicates new features, and assists with adapting study designs for REDCap usage within studies

Serves as a CHOP contributor and participant in REDCap Consortium and regularly learns and applies best practices based on distributed administrator community.Education Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Biological Science, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related discipline Required

Master's Degree Biological Science, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related discipline PreferredExperience Qualifications

At least two (2) years experience in the biomedical research field in an applied data management or services role. Required

At least two (2) years experience in clinical research study or trial management Required

in REDCap administration or similar clinical research applications administration (e.g., OnCore). Preferred

Project management experience of complex matrix projects Preferred

with source code management, application development, data services,and/or project lifecycle management. PreferredSkills and Abilities

Demonstrated oral, presentation, and written communi ation skills

Highly communicative, collaborative, transparent, and engaging approach.

Working knowledge of one or more commonly used biomedical and academic research-focused data management systems such as Clarity or Epic preferred.

Knowledge of clinical data models, data standards, and best practice methods for constructing analytic data sets preferred.

Working knowledge of statistical tool data model and formats preferred.

Familiarity with relational database management systems preferred.
