About The Pennsylvania Homecare Association (PHA): PHA is a statewide organization of 700+ homehealth, home care and hospice agencies looking to hire!The Pennsylvania Homecare Association is posting this position on behalf of their member organization, Deer Meadows Home Health.Job Title/Position:Accounting ClerkReports To:Finance DirectorJob Description SummaryThe accounting clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll/ HR functions.Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

Accurately processes invoices and check requests including auditing for accuracy, proper authorization, and completeness of supporting documentation.

Assigns invoice account distributions in accordance with the chart of accounts.

Alerts appropriate management team members regarding late or missing documents required for payroll or accounts payable.

Processes and prints accounts payable and payroll checks and submits them to the Finance Director for review and approval.

Assists in the preparation of monthly payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reports.

Maintains complete and accurate payroll and accounts payable records.

Prepares and distributes year-end W-2 and 1099 forms.

Assists the Finance Director in reconciling general and payroll accounts.

Assists the Finance Director in the preparation of the annual budget and documents for internal and external audits.

Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with employees and other customers.

Maintains the confidentiality of employee and organization information at all times.

Prepares invoice/billings for proper recording of revenues and accounts receivable.

Reconcile intercompany transactions on a monthly basis.

Performs other specific projects relating to payroll, data entry, and information system operations as required.

Prepares Journal Entries as required.

Responds to external requests for employee payroll information by accumulating and forwarding the requested documentation to the Finance Director for approval.

Works with human resource personnel in maintaining employee database information

Accurately enters employee and payroll data, including timesheet information, into the payroll information system.

Prepares employee paychecks including withholding calculations accurately and in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations.

Works with the Finance Director and members of the management team in resolving employee payroll problems.

Performs other necessary functions/duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or Administrator.

At least two (2) years experience in health care data entry, preferably in home health care systems.

At least one (1) year of previous health care related payroll and accounts payable experience, preferably in home health care.

Able to use IBM-compatible systems and equipment.

Is a high school graduate or equivalent, two (2) years college preferred.
