Senior Technical Database Architect and Administrator We are recruiting a Senior Technical Architect -

Leader / Team Builder to lead our Data Architecture team. Director-level Database Architect and Administrator to lead the database and data warehouse strategy. This position will also lead the process to support data integration into other information systems and to drive effective data collection, aggregation, and reporting. The position will report to and work directly with the Chief Financial Officer. The position will also support enhancing existing systems and implementing new database systems as needed to meet the growing data needs of the entire organization. The position will ensure that we capture, structure, and report data in a manner that effectively supports a data-driven operation.

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Building and improving data structuring, data capture and data management
Building effective datasets and enforcing data structure and data integrity
Architecting and implementing Data Transparency and Analysis
Standardizing configuration of data in the system to ensure consistent and effective reporting
Driving Quality Assurance / Testing, especially validation of data
Creating , maintaining and updating of documentation relating to data structuring, report writing and other programming work
Programming and Report Writing using SQL Reporting Services Report Builder and software specific tools

QUALIFICATIONS

The Database Architect will learn all aspects of the our client's business and determine how best to support it using key databases and data warehouses, including the Blackbaud donor management software. Prior hands-on experience in fundraising systems is preferred.
Blackbaud developer experience preferred.
Experience leading database solutions teams
Five to seven years of hands-on experience in database field and table programming and application design
Proven experience programming in Microsoft SQL
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services/OLAP (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Visual Studio SharePoint Server 2007, Microsoft Access
Power BI experience preferred
Measurable successes designing database structures to streamline and cleanse data
Demonstrated ability to improve data integrity, accuracy, and consistency to ultimately simplify reporting and analysis
Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent analytical skills; client-focus and customer service orientation
Ability to juggle multiple projects, work efficiently, deliver on time and work well in a team setting as well as independently is critical
Experience in other programming environments, general data management, creating and executing test scripts, and validating data conversion desirable
