This includes evaluating policies and procedures aimed at improving inventory controls, as well as analyzing staff reports on materials usage, purchasing activity, and costs. Additionally, the position entails analyzing system data to generate trend reports on inventory status and managing master data in SAP Plant Maintenance for Highway and Highway related materials inventory. This involves reviewing and analyzing Department data on inventory levels and usage to make informed recommendations to the Manager. The ultimate goal is to optimize inventory quantities by promoting just-in-time delivery of materials, which can lead to cost savings and increased budget effectiveness. By closely monitoring inventory levels and implementing strategic recommendations, the role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient inventory management practices within the organization.This position is responsible overseeing the coordination and execution of the Statewide Maintenance Accreditation Performance Index (MAPI) and Inventory Control Metric. This includes managing the planning, development, and implementation of these metrics. Additionally, there may be a responsibility to generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for field organizations, including Assistant District Executives for Maintenance, to assess their progress in meeting Inventory Control goals. Furthermore, active participation in the creation of statewide reports is expected, which will provide valuable analytical tools and information to aid in managerial decision-making. Lastly, you will review inventory reports to ensure adherence to policy and procedure guidelines.Additionally, you will engage in and oversee the on-site Engineering District PennDOT Inventory Management Quality Assurance Review (PIMQAR). Assess inventory programs and staff evaluations to determine the level of achievement of goals and objectives for future steps. Provide guidance and training to organizations on optimizing the use of current inventory management reports, adopting best practices, and identifying areas for improvement.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Selected candidate can work from Keystone Building or nearest PennDOT Engineering District Office, if space is available.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as a M nagement Analyst 2; or

Three years of progressively responsible experience in technical management analysis work which included evaluating work methods, procedures or organizational structures, and a bachelor's degree; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
