POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Production Services is responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the production department, ensuring production projects meet all critical delivery, quality and pricing expectations as well as meeting profit margin goals. This role is responsible for gathering all project related requirements, establishing a manufacturing plan which supports manufacturing processes, confirming the cost structure, producing a schedule, understanding the material requirements, and overseeing the execution of the plan. Collects, analyzes, and understands client and production requirements.
Understands and regulates production status, requirements, and structure within the manufacturing operation.
Manages workload of assigned staff and ensure the team is obtaining goals.
Defines problems and suggest alternatives, based on cost implications, time constraints, and quality standards.
Analyzes the project's cost structure and any significant deviations from the approved cost structure.
Establishes and documents procedures and best practices.
Acts as a main conduit between client, sales, project team, and inside/outsourced manufacturing for all projects.
Leads change management and communication of all critical project changes and corresponding plan alterations.
Ensures proper resource alignment to deliver client satisfaction and profitability.
Manage problem escalation process if needed.
Hold departments responsible and accountable for quality and delivery goals.
Liaises with various team leaders to implement process improvements, understand and correct issues.
Additional duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
6+ years progressive production services experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect).
Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
