Description We are offering a role based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the Accounting sector. This role is focused on providing organizational and detail-oriented support to our team as a Credit Clerk. The position is on-site and is a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently processing customer credit applications. Maintaining precise records of customer credits. Resolving any customer inquiries related to credit. Regularly monitoring customer credit accounts. Taking appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments. Logging daily control sheets for accounts payable, receivables, and cash. Preparing daily cash deposits and updating accounts receivable ledger by customer in the business system. Processing daily credit card transactions and deposits. Researching and processing customer claims of invoice payment, charge backs, returns, and bad checks. Issuing receivable freight invoices and credits memos. Answering accounts receivable phone inquiries and conducting follow-ups. Balancing month-end general ledgers accounts and reconciling general ledger accounts.For immediate consideration please apply directly to job posting or call 610-882-1600 Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must Possess knowledge and experience in handling accounting functions Ability to manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Experience in executing billing functions effectively Capability to manage and monitor cash activity A degree in accounting or a related field is preferred Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of accounting software and systems is a plus Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
