Caregiver for DD Adults, group setting, daycare

We are looking for caregivers with positive attitudes, creativity, imagination and willingness to learn. As part of the Care Team consisting of the owner and one or two caregivers daily, staff provides interaction and ADL assistance for up to six Developmentally Disabled adults in our home-based facility. Interaction includes: companionship, crafts, silly songs and such, providing/cleaning/tidying toys, video games, helping with community outings, and generally being creative to provide clients with a positive and fulfilling environment. Functional age of our clients ranges from 6 months to pre-teen. Assistance with Activities of Daily Living includes: mobility, transfer, toileting/incontinence care, hygiene, food preparation, feeding, clean-up, and miscellaneous tasks in support of client care. On-the-job training for paperwork and specific skills provided, experience is helpful but not required. First aid and CPR certification required within 30 days of starting to work.

We serve clients during the day M-F and alternate Saturdays, providing flexibility for scheduled work days and hours. 8-40 hours per week. Candidates will need to provide their own reliable transportation, we are outside of the bus service area. We are not able to offer insurance or paid leave as benefits. Must be at least 18 years old, provide references, pass a background check and not be on a State or Federal deferral list.
