Description We are on the lookout for an Associate Claims Specialist to join our team located in Salem, Oregon. As an Associate Claims Specialist, you will primarily support EDI processes, assist with transferring EDI files, and manage some EDI accounts. This role is in the healthcare insurance industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Support and manage EDI processes to ensure smooth operations. Assist with the transfer of EDI files between different parties effectively. Take on some account management responsibilities, ensuring customer accounts are well-maintained and up-to-date. Provide exceptional customer service to our providers, addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues. Conduct research and provide workstation support as needed. Administer claims and manage provider data accurately. Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams. Utilize medical terminology and coding knowledge in day-to-day operations. Maintain accurate records of all EDI transactions. Adhere to healthcare insurance industry standards and regulations.Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service Proven ability to conduct Research Experience in Workstation Support Knowledge of working with Vendors Familiarity with Claim Administration procedures Skills in Coding and Account Management Understanding of Medical Terminology Proficiency in EDI - Electronic Data Interchange Experience in HealthCare Insurance Knowledge of Provider Data management Familiarity with NIS Proficiency in EDI Transaction Experience in handling EDI Files Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving abilities Proven track record of attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively Highly organized with good time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
