SAFETY DEPARTMENT POSITION AVAILABLE

Local company in Wilsonville, OR looking for full-time Safety Specialist. This position will work closely with all levels of staff to ensure safety of all employees by remaining compliant with all OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulation.

Tasks:

Administer and monitor training and compliance

Assists in conduction of monthly and quarterly safety meetings to meet company safety training goals and safety objectives

Order and process reports

Maintain employee files

Maintain and administer random drug and alcohol testing program.

Attend safety seminars and training courses to stay current with regulations and compliance technologies

Investigate work-related injured and incidents, including accident reports, files, and register

Prepares and submits compliance forms to appropriates person or organization

Other duties as assigned

Skills:

Must be able to effectively communicate, in person, by phone, e-mail, and with internal company system with all levels of staff members

Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively

Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding safety and OSHA standards

Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations, preferably in the transportation industry, regarding FMCSA and DOT standards

Ability to plan, execute, and document policies and procedures

Ability to accurately collect, maintain and track data and report to management

Computer knowledge to include Word and Excel and the ability to learn data entry in internal company system

Bilingual Russian or Ukrainian is a plus.
