This position requires open and flexible availability to work morning/afternoon shifts, within the hours of 8am-3pm. Shifts vary and ability to work holidays and weekends is required.

What are we looking for?

Six (6) months or more cleaning experience preferred.

Open availability to work varying days and shifts between the hours of 8am-3pm, including weekends and holidays.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process.

Should be self-motivated, hardworking, detail-oriented, and a team player.

What will I be doing?

A Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites and common areas. Reports maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain rooms/suites in compliance with standards.

In addition to general housekeeping tasks the housekeeper duties include:

Clean guest rooms.

Organize work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departures

Distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand

Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, guest gifts, and other necessities

Replace dirty linens with clean items

Inspect mattresses

Store all dirty laundry in line with company policy

Press wrinkled linen

Check all appliances in rooms are in working order

Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout

Respond to guest service quests

Respond to calls for housekeeping problems

Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms

Organize and restock carts and closets at the end of the shift

Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms

Follow all company safety and security procedures

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards

Observe and report damage of hotel property

Help with hotel laundry as needed

Report low stock/inventory

Bag and remove any trash

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods

Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials

Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment

Experience in hotel housekeeping highly desirable

Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend

Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)

Own mode of transportation

Attention to detail and general cleanliness

Attention to time and being efficient
