Accounts Receivable Specialist
Oregon, Portland, 97201 Portland USADescription The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling payments, as well as maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves communicating with customers regarding outstanding invoices, handling discrepancies, and assisting in maintaining the overall financial health of the organization. This is a 3-month contract with the option for extension! Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and send customer invoices in a timely manner.
Record and apply incoming payments (checks, wire transfers, credit card payments) to customer accounts.
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies or payment issues.
Follow up with customers regarding past due accounts and outstanding balances.
Generate aging reports and assist in preparing accounts receivable reports for management.
Collaborate with the finance and sales teams to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all AR transactions.
Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts receivable.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a plus).1-2 years of experience in an accounts receivable, accounting, or bookkeeping role.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is a plus.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
