Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in Portland, Oregon for a Senior Accountant. This role is within the telecom industry and will require the successful candidate to take on the responsibility of accrual management, providing manager support, and performing complex accounting tasks similar to a typical senior accountant role. Responsibilities: Oversee and ensure the accuracy of accruals, particularly large ones Work cross-functionally with the business to understand and verify expenditures Provide additional support to management during periods of absence Review journal entries for accuracy and completeness Handle the task of accruals and IDS, excluding leases Execute complex accounting tasks as part of the role Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Operate accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Perform month-end close procedures Use Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis. Requirements Profound knowledge in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations Demonstrable experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes Familiarity with Month End Close procedures and processes Expertise in NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for accounting functions Previous experience in a similar role, preferably as a Sr. Accountant Ability to work independently and in a team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred High attention to detail and accuracy in all work Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
