Administrative Patient Care Support for Naturopath

What we do: Our healthcare practitioners practice personalized, integrative botanical and nutritional medicine to support the health, lifespan, and quality of life of our patients. Custom protocols prescribed for patients consist of herbal and nutritional products of the highest quality, purity, potency, and clinical effectiveness.

Client Liaison: Administrative Patient Support for Naturopath
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Liaise between our Naturopathic Physician and his patients to coordinate and ensure successful delivery of the Mederi Care program
Review patient queries with the practitioner and accurately relay detailed responses from practitioner to patients
Edit/forward patient protocols (treatment plans) and handouts daily to patients
Follow-up with patients after their appointments to answer any protocol and scheduling questions
Review and prepare patient files prior to appointments alerting practitioner to new information
Order labs and/or call in prescriptions for patients
Enter practitioner recommendations for each patient into Mederi Center's Fullscript platform
Maintain timely documentation of all patient activity
Utilize ChARM EHR software as it pertains to the job duties
Handle invoicing of patient consultations (including preparing insurance billing) needed to facilitate exceptional patient care
Effectively articulate and explain Mederi Care approach to prospective, new, and existing patients
Provide backup phone support to front-end reception as needed
Assist with supporting and coordinating care for new and prospective patients. This includes providing general information, forms, scheduling, patient onboarding, answering questions, and directing patients to teammates when appropriate
Requirements
1-2 years experience in the medical/wellness field i.e., medical assistant, nutritionist, herbalist, or health coach preferred
Interest in integrative healthcare
Passionate about health and well-being
Exceptional customer service and phone/email etiquette
Impeccable attention to detail
Highly organized and proficient in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks while ensuring timely completion and follow-up
Ability to deal gracefully with shifting patient and practitioner priorities
Works effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals as well as promote a positive and supportive team dynamic
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal courteously and effectively with internal and external requests
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to remain focused and organized in a busy environment
Empathetic, compassionate, sensitive to the unique needs of patients with cancer and chronic conditions

Hours: Non-exempt, mostly telemed patients, part-to-full time: 25 -32 hours/week TBD. Half-day on Friday
Location: Mederi Clinic is located in Ashland, OR.
