ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

We are in need of an electronics technician with customer service skills who can assemble various circuit boards and electronic components, work with computers and various software programs, and cross over to follow troubleshooting procedures to resolve customer service issues.

We are asking that any candidates have an Associate Degree in Electronics, and/or, ten years minimum on-the-job experience in electronics. Customer service skills can be developed if no experience is present, and said skills, or the ability to develop these skills, will be assessed during the 90-day probationary period after hiring.

This position will also require the ability to travel for on-site customer service support. Travel is typically domestic in nature, but international travel is also a possibility.

This job will have the following job duties:

- Soldering with Silver solder

- Assembling electronic circuit boards

- Assembling through-hole type circuit boards

- Assembling wire harnesses of different kinds

- Wiring control panels

- Assembling control cabinets

- Inventory control

- Quality control of all parts made in the department

- Organizing components / Maintaining organization set in place

- Telephone skills for customer service

- Generate and promote sales from service calls

- The ability to travel for on-site service calls

This person will need to have the following abilities:

- Solder at high heat with unleaded solder

- Electronics assembly

- Knowledge & understanding of electronic parts

- Ability to use meters and testing instruments

- Communication skills

- Capable of learning and retaining new things

- Multi-tasking

- Some mechanical assembly

- Attention to detail

- Windows based PC operation

- Quality control supervision

- Good vision, or properly corrected vision many small parts and small holes

- Dependable work ethic
