Caregivers needed at Adult Foster Home

We are looking for people who are caring, respectful, and can work in a timely manner in what can be a fast paced environment, at the Adult Foster Home.

There are (5) residents here. Three of them are very independent, you would be responsible for medication passing, (we train you how). All cooking, and making sure all cleaning gets done. Make sure they get on the bus on time to go to their day programs. Things of this sort. The other 2 need help with more activities of living, like showering, and changing. These 2 awesome people use walkers, but this is a no transfer/lifting home. Most of the residents like playing board games, or watching movies when they are home.

The 24-48 hour shift is what you would be doing. Compensation is $280.00 per 24hr shift. This means you stay here for 24-48 hours straight. We have a staff room with a bed, you have your own bathroom, and access to the kitchen. Most staff retire to their rooms from 9pm-7am. If there is an emergency you would need to respond. Otherwise you get to sleep.

Qualifications are: If you don’t have these things, they are easily obtainable, -Must be 18yrs old

-First aid/CPR/AED- We get ours at Oregon CPR in Springfield

-Background check, you can easily obtain one at, Lane County DD services, by filling out a application with them.

-Get a Basic Foster Care Certificate. This is a simple exam that must be passed prior to providing any care in an Adult Foster Home. There are seven sections to the exam, it generally takes an hour to complete. The reading materials are online. Most people read over the materials for a day or so. Exams are scheduled at Lane County DD Services. If you fail a section you only have to retake that section.
