Reports To: Owner, Foreman

Subordinate Staff: None

Classification: Hourly

Working Hours: Varies, Normally 40 to 50 hours per week,

Basic Function: This is a entry level position for an individual who will primary work in conduction with the owner/ foreman in a outside environment and occasional inside if necessary.

Principle Duties:

Performs tasks that are necessary to keep maintenance agreements in order, and equipment clean, organized and safe.

Inspect all equipment and tools that are assigned for your tasks and report any deficiencies directly to owner.

Performs functions and routine landscape activities as directed by listed supervisors.

Become thoroughly trained in the proper procedures required to perform each task before performing each task.

Standard equipment and functions:

Rotary mower operations.

Raking and leveling .

Sprinkler Repair.

Line trimmer.

Edger.

Sod cutter and sod laying.

Utility vehicle operation.

Blower operation.

Manual weeding.

Normal hand tool operations

Rototiller operations.

Fertilizer spreaders, both drop and broadcast.

Requirements:

Must posses good organizational skills.

Ability to use logical thinking to solve problems.

Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.

Ability to inspect properties to make normal decisions based on direction from supervisors.

Needs to have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Ability to perform heavy physical labor. May be required to work in an environment that includes such activities as bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. May need to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Working Conditions:

Works primarily outdoors. Potential exposure to inclement weather, hazards associated with being around equipment, fertilizer and pesticides.
