Job Title: Landscaping Maintenance Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Landscape Maintenance Lead to oversee and manage a landscape maintenance route. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in all facets of landscape maintenance and team leadership. This role demands practical experience in executing landscaping tasks and adeptly coordinating a team to ensure the efficient and effective upkeep of outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise maintenance personnel.

- Plan and schedule daily tasks and assignments for the maintenance crew.

- Perform and oversee landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, and herbicide application.

- Monitor plant health and ensure proper care and maintenance of landscapes.

- Coordinate with clients or property managers to understand their landscaping needs and expectations.

- Train new team members on proper landscaping techniques and safety procedures.

- Maintain landscaping equipment and tools in good working condition; oversee equipment maintenance and repairs.

- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Evaluate job sites and provide recommendations for improvements or enhancements.

- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked by the team.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a landscape maintenance technician with at least three years experience.

- In-depth knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, and irrigation systems.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

- Ability to plan and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

- Experience with landscaping equipment and tools; familiarity with maintenance and repair procedures.

- Knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations related to landscaping operations.

- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
