Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tear-Off Roofing crew member to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in roof demo and dry-in, be a hardworking individual, a team player, and motivated to excel in their craft. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, contribute to challenging projects, and grow within the company.

Responsibilities:

1. Remove and dispose of roofing on re-roof projects, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.

2. Collaborate with the roofing team to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.

3. Dry-in Roof by installing ice and water shield, underlayment and flashings to fit specific roofing structures accurately. Making the underlayment water-tight is of upmost importance.

4. Inspect and troubleshoot roofing issues, providing effective solutions. Replacing roof sheathing as needed.

5. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

6. Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.

7. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

8. Uphold the company's commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

1. 1 year of experience in roofing tear-off is preferred.

2. Strong knowledge of roofing materials, installation techniques, and industry best practices.

3. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with diverse personalities.

4. Motivated, hardworking, and committed to delivering high-quality work.

5. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

6. Physical ability to perform the demands of the job, including lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing, ladder work, machinery work, and working at heights.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience and skills. Scott's Roofing is committed to providing competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth.

2. Simple IRA is available for all employees after 90 days, with Scott’s Roofing matching up to 3% of employee’s yearly pay.

3. Paid Time Off: accrues at 40 hours per year after 90 days and after the first year 40 hours per employee is given on the first day of the year. 80 hours per employee after 2 years at the company.
