Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and dedicated dental hygienist to join our team at Lone Pine Dental! Part time or full time available depending on candidates desire with a start date from January-March 2025. As a dental hygienist you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients, with a focus on disease prevention and practicing evidence based oral hygiene. We are a relatively new office with state of the art equipment and materials. We treat our patients as family and we are seeking a candidate who shares this philosophy. Duties:

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and coronal polishing

- Take full mouth series, individual bitewing, and periapical x rays

- Conduct oral cancer screenings

- Administer local anesthesia as needed

- Place dental sealants as needed

- Educate patient on proper oral hygiene techniques, periodontal disease prevention, and provide personalized oral care instructions

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems

- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures

- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies

Qualifications:

- Valid Oregon state dental hygiene license with local anesthetic endorsement

- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program

- Current CPR/BLS Certification

- Proficient knowledge of dental office procedures and protocols

- Experience working with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and communicate effectively with patients.

- Ability to work well in a team environment.
