Each intern will be integrated into division and department meetings, activities and events to ensure an understanding of PACCAR. At the end of your internship, you have the opportunity to present your accomplishments to your fellow interns and senior management. Oklahoma City, OK

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Assist and support activities related to supervisory duties such as scheduling workloads, assigning job functions and monitoring daily performance of associates.

Assist in recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating efficiency and safe working conditions.

Assist in building standard work documentation to properly control supervisory procedures.

Assist and support in the creation and development of metrics and databases to monitor and improve overall facility performance.

Support multiple projects defined to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Perform miscellaneous project work and hands-on duties as assigned.

Travel to other Distribution Centers to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Special projects/assignments may include:

Multi-location Consolidation & Replenishment Logic

Right Sizing Locations & Directed Putaway Logic

Inventory Accuracy & Cycle Counting Logic

Qualifications

PC literate in MSWord, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate under pressure and possess strong interpersonal skills. Strong group presentation skills.

Able to work in the office or warehouse physical environments as required. Warehouse equipment operation desired. Familiarity with forklift or other equipment a plus.

Ability to move, lift or carry up to 70 lbs, withstand heights up to 30 feet, and operate warehouse equipment safely. Ability to reason logically, discriminate fine detail, distant visual and close information.

Knowledge of Distribution Center operations, supervisory, quality and/or inventory control experience is a plus.

Six Sigma training in LEAN, DFSS or DMAIC logic is a plus.

Ideal candidate is potentially seeking a career in Operations and Supply Chain Management. 

Full-time employment in the future could require relocation.

Education

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program

Junior or senior standing preferred

Additional Job Board Information Wage Scale or Salary Range The salary range for our intern positions is as follows:

Undergraduate Students: $25.00/Hour

Graduate Students: $30.00/Hour

Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
