Principal Controls Engineer

Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for our commercial HVAC products. This individual must be analytical thinker, self-motivated and able to work independently but must also be able to interface with cross functional teams to support the products.Job Duties:Develop control systems design and maintain related documents.Develop Sequence of operation for the HVAC control systemDevelop applications using high-level software tools for prototyping or troubleshootingTests applications and control methods using simulation, emulation and field testing.Work with multiple teams like Product Technical Support team, Manufacturing, Quality and Labs for product support and knowledge share.  Generate technical documentation for use within the company and/or with vendors.Conducts market research, systems analysis and experimentation to analyze application or operational feasibility and explore alternatives.Strives for continuous improvement and teamwork in product development and processes.
