Full job descriptionHiring for a 1st shift Lab Production ManagerNo weekends -Monday to Friday shift!This is a full-time, long-term position with full benefits and weekly pay.SOP DevelopmentTechnical writing – experience, and ability to write documents reviewed by a regulatory agencyManage a team of 6 supervisors, 5 Group Leads, 45-50 techniciansManage all aspects of laboratory reagent production and packing & shipping,Work with customers on special requests and product informationCreate budgets and operating plans for the laboratorySchedule product production based on inventory and needCoordinate cell orders for tissue culture antigen with applicable departmentTrain laboratory staff to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environmentCollaborate with procurement and logistics to manage inventory and supply chain processesDocument for testing and/or release of USDA-licensed plate antigensDevelop and maintain departmental systems and SOPsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:5 to 10 years of experience in laboratory production.Bachelor’s degree in biological science. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed aboveProven experience as a manager, with a focus on process optimizationStrong understanding of quality assurance principles and practicesExperience in personnel development and performance managementOccasional travel between laboratory locations using own vehicle or to meet with customersAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
