NEW ENTRY-LEVEL SOFTWARE ENGINEERING OPPORTUNITY SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF FLIGHT SIMULATION SOFTWARE FOR A TOP AEROSPACE & DEFENSE COMPANY IN THE WORLD JOB DESCRIPTION:Actalent is seeking a Software Developer interested in working in the US Defense industry, supporting the US Navy. You will become a partner in the development, deployment, and sustainment of the Mission Avionics System Trainer (MAST), a multi-station immersive trainer for U. S. Navy reconnaissance aircraft. MAST provides training for flight crews, mission crews, and maintainers.

Develop a software modeling and simulation based training system using object oriented programming techniques

Perform black box and white box integration

Effectively communicate status with leadership

Collaborate with various team members to resolve system engineering issues and actions

Develop technical documentation

Coding, testing, and debugging new software, and making enhancements to existing software.

Utilizing analytical skills, suggest solutions for problems or software enhancements.

Assisting in the development of user manuals.

Attending training sessions to achieve a higher level of technical skill.

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

ELIGIBLE FOR A US SECRET CLEARANCE

BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Game Development / Digital Simulation

Experience with object oriented software development in C

Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of personalities

Strong ability to take vague tasks or independently identify needs, think critically, and deliver exceptional results with minimal guidance

Able to manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

A problem solver, analytical and a thorough understanding of the software development life cycle

Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with fellow programmers, system engineers, test engineer, and other team members
