Design System Specialist

Our client, in the healthcare is seeking a Design System Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Figma, UX writing experience and ticket tracking experience which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Design System SpecialistLocation: Columbus, OH (100% offsite)Pay Range: $50-52/hrWhat’s the Job?

Create and build designs, component libraries and prototypes in Figma.

Make the structure and organization of the components intuitive to all parties.

Provide detailed design specs and documentation for components and patterns to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Facilitate communication of the design system throughout the organization.

Participate in product, design and engineering discussions to evaluate and enhance designs.

Work closely with the dev team to optimize asset delivery.

Articulate design rationale and goals to other team members and stakeholders.

Work with the QA team to ensure final product adheres to design specifications before release.

What’s Needed?

Possesses a keen eye for aesthetics, conscientious attention to detail,

and an understanding of the relationship between design decisions and their impact on a systems-level scale.

Approaches problems holistically as a unified system and considers all perspectives.

Demonstrates Has strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time.

Has the ability to assesses project scope and provides accurate time estimate in order to consistently meets deadlines, anticipates issues and raises concerns early.

Is flexible and open to feedback.

Nice to have

Experience using Jira to track work and progress within assigned tickets

Experience working in an agile or iterative work setting

Knowledge of AA accessibility guidelines

Prototyping or UX writing experience

Experience in tool transition to Figma
