Structural Engineer

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Buildings + Places group. This senior-level role involves leading the structural design and analysis of complex building and infrastructure projects, exercising sound engineering judgment, and mentoring junior staff. The position offers the opportunity to work independently, interpret building codes, and contribute meaningfully to project delivery and team development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the structural design and analysis of building systems and primary structural elements with minimal supervision.Apply engineering principles, building codes, and industry standards to make independent technical decisions.Develop solutions to non-routine engineering challenges using established methods, modified approaches, or prior project experience.Perform and review structural calculations, analyses, and associated design documentation.Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in analysis results or design assumptions.Manage assigned tasks to meet agreed-upon project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.Provide technical guidance, oversight, and mentorship to entry-level and junior engineers.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
